King of Fighters XV unveils the heroine of the team and new trainees of characters

King of Fighters, developed by SNK, started as arcade games and gained popularity around the world over the years. SNK announced that King of Fighters XV should go out during the first quarter 2022 for PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S. As the release date is approached, SNK released some additional information on the distribution of available combatants.

The company unveiled the trailer of the character of Athena Asamiya and confirmed the training of Team Heroine, composed of Asamiya, May Shiranui and Yuri Sakazaki. King of Fighters XV will continue the inheritance of the series with the return of struggles in a 3V3 team. Each team will have its own scenario and its own end, giving players the opportunity to explore each team throughout their trips.

Athena Asamiya is a pop idol who fights the evil as she seeks to bring peace in the world. His fighting style integrates Kung Fu, which she learned growing up, as well as her psychic powers. The personality of his character is serious but polished. In this iteration, she taught with two familiar but different characters.

May Shiranui is a Kunoichi and successor of Shiranui martial arts style. She has mastered the use of large fans as weapons and uses her graceful movement to overcome her enemies. On the other hand, Yuri Sakazaki has managed to learn deadly techniques only one year after joining Kyokugenryu Dojo. She joined the fight to prove his skills to his elder brother, Ryo Sakazaki.
