Jonathan Meier changes from Mainz 05 to Hansa Rostock
The prerequisite for the lending was the contract extension Meiers in Mainz. The contract of the left-back would have expired after this season, now he has bound to the Rheinhessen by June 2023.
The 21-year-old will not play this season but not in the FSV jersey, but one floor deeper for Hansa Rostock. This is Meier, who was born in Munich and trained in his Youth at TSV 1860 and FC Bayern, the second year by lending in the foreign active. In the past season he was borrowed at the third division Dynamo Dresden.
Jonathan is a top trained, faster and technically accomplished player who made a big leap in his development in Dresden, said Hansa-Sports Executor Martin Pieckenhagen and referred to the 28 league missions that Meier completed for the Saxons.
I have followed the club mainly in the past season and of course I impressed me the rise in the 2nd Bundesliga. This league will be extremely exciting this year and I would like to contribute my part together with the great fans, with Hansa the Classification to achieve, said Meier, who will board Team Training on Monday under FCH coach Jens Härtel. He is the ninth newcomer Rostocks for the season.
